Ten years ago the loss of Tessa Steil inspired Quad City special needs parents to create Hand-in-Hand. They hosted a one-week day camp to fulfill their dream, but feared “Would anyone come?” When registration day came, the line to sign-up began at 4:30 a.m., extending outside into a cold March day with all spaces filling within 30 minutes. From this small beginning, Hand-in-Hand has developed year round programs such as childcare, after-school, fitness, art and countless other activities.
Please join us to celebrate our very special children! Call 332-8010 for more details.
