Celebrating 20 Years!
Celebrating people of all abilities today and tomorrow
You probably remember that we had a big event planned last April. We wanted to celebrate retiring CEO, Mark, and you, for making our work possible, while also shining a light on the individuals we have the honor of serving each day.
To achieve our goals while also being safe, instead of hosting the 20th Anniversary Celebration, we will be focusing on National Volunteer Week from April 19 – 23. After all, our name celebrates just this spirit. It is Hand in Hand with our community that thousands of people of all abilities have had support and fun learning and recreational opportunities for 20 years, it is only right that we stand Hand in Hand with our community after a devastating year.
Our participants will be taking part in volunteer opportunities and projects to help the Quad Cities Community. We will be featuring volunteers that have been vital to the success of Hand in Hand. Additionally, we will accept nominations of people who have given a “helping hand” in the community. We want to share your stories because YOU are the reason we are celebrating 20 years!
Please be on the lookout for more information in the coming weeks on our National Volunteer Week projects! Thank you for your continued support of Hand in Hand and for helping make a more inclusive Quad Cities!
