Molly's Story

Although the day to day activities here are geared toward providing fun experiences for the children and young adults who attend our programs, Hand-in-Hand also exists for their families. Even as we are creating art projects or coordinating the next exciting field trip, in the back of our minds, we know how important it is for parents to have a place like Hand-in-Hand: a place where their children will be loved, protected and accepted.

I have been able to experience this first-hand, now, when I bring my son Milo to Hand-in-Hand each day. I know how it feels to walk into the lively infant room and see the familiar faces of the caregivers who will love and guide my favorite little person while I work.

One of the things I have always loved about my job at Hand-in-Hand is meeting the parents of our participants and hearing their unique stories about their kids. There are so many inspiring stories of success and growth to share! Now, I am one of those parents and can truly appreciate what a leap of faith it is to entrust my child’s care to others. I feel so honored that the parents who make up our Hand-in-Hand family have chosen us to fulfill such a tremendous role. Thank you for the privilege of knowing and caring for your kids. We realize how lucky we are!

To help make more stories like this possible, please consider giving a tax-deductible donation. Gifts from people like you make a big difference in the lives of Hand-in-Hand participants and their families!
