Hand in Hand will be taking a small group of parents to Des Moines to meet with lawmakers on March 10.

Agenda

·       6:45 AM depart Tessa’s Place

·       9:30-11:30AM Advocacy Training

·       11:30-12:30PM Lunch and preparation for the Capitol visit: A variety of sandwiches will be provided for lunch. 

·       12:30PM Travel to the Capitol

·       1:00-3:00PM Capitol visit (meet with legislators, watch a floor debate, etc.)

·       We will be back in the QC about 7PM

While at the capital we will pull legislators out of session to talk to them about what matters to you and your family and share your stories. As many of you know, we never know what the day could look like up there - whether they are in caucus, on the floor, etc. But we will be with you the entire time to ensure you know where to go and what to do.
