Bright. Very fulfilling. I love just being able to help children. Children learn learn, children develop. The thing I love most about working at Hand in Hand is the people that we work with, from the participants that we get to serve, and and assist daily to, our amazing coworkers and our awesome leadership team.
Overall hand in hand is all about the people. What I love most is the opportunity to work with kids of all ages and abilities. You can't find anything else like it in the Quad Cities. So I feel like I just get such a great experience all in one with so many different opportunities. I love the people that work here.
I love the kids. I love the atmosphere. Just everything about it is such a positive experience that I wasn't able to find anywhere else. I love getting to come into a family environment every day. Getting to work with the kids and guide them in their development to see those light bulb moments, those really special moments where kids finally understand what they've been working on for so long.
Do you have any advice for anyone that is looking to work at Hand to Hand? With open hearts and open minds. I would say just go out of your comfort zone. There are so many different opportunities here, and I've learned so much from working with kids of all abilities. So I would say even if you don't have past experience in this field, just go for it because there's so many different opportunities here.
You'll learn so much and you'll meet so many different amazing kids and families along the way that you'll have no regrets. Come in ready to learn. Be yourself and open minded and you'll be fine. Just really focus your time on creating meaningful connections with the kiddos that you're working with as well as the parents.
