Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - Hand in Hand

Hand in Hand is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead the administration, programs, and strategic plan of this Quad Cities based non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families.  Hand in Hand provides child care, respite care, and adult care programs and services to approximately 800 families. The founder and current CEO of Hand in Hand is retiring after 20 years.

The Chief Executive Officer reports directly to the Board of Directors, oversees a staff of approximately 60 employees, and manages a $1,000,000 budget.  Key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifying opportunities and implementing programs

  • Marketing and fundraising

  • Developing and overseeing Hand in Hand’s annual operating budget

  • Hiring, supervising, collaborating with and retaining qualified staff

  • Establishing and maintaining donor and community relationships

Hand in Hand is seeking a candidate with the following interests and qualifications:

  • A passion for advancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and their families

  • Strong leadership, collaborative, and delegation skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Five or more years of senior management experience, not for profit experience preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree
